part 2 q's

1) because none other natives wanted too fight in a "White mans war"
2) 150 British colonials die and about 30 native warriors leave to go back home to grieve over there lost ones.
3)
-for them to take the place of those have died on there side
-they were held for ransom
-they were used to fight off invaders
4)her story was told because she was one of few who's story was known since she had written it down. the reason is for it showed how they were treated by the natives. how they could just come in and steal their whole family, kill anyone they wanted, and then expect them to come and take the place of one of their fallen warriors
5)in a way, yes. wanting to have the strongest and best army is a reasonable, but how he came about in doing so is questionable. i guess though that times were definitely different, so it is hard to get an actual understanding.
6)he was a french general. he did not like them because there way of fighting had no maner in it and he thought they were savages, but he still used them because he knew he needed them.
7)the native amercians were savage fighters. they had to take trophies. wether it be scalps or articles of the colonials.
8)the clash was between the natives. because they did not quite understand why they would just let people go. they wanted to kill them all and take trophies.

Look at question 3 and 5.

Question 3 - captives to ransom for trade goods.
Question 5 - your answer is unclear.
